greg-sensei-japan > The view of PuDong from the Bund. PuDong represents the modern side of Shanghai whereas the Bund has all of the historic Colonial buildings. The Bund is very beautiful at night and a great to way to see the old and new faces of Shanghai.

All the buildings have been built in the last 10/15 years or so which must make it the world's fastest growing skyline. The funny looking building with the two spheres is the TV Tower. It looks really good at nightime but very drab and grey when it's light.

The tallest building in the picture is actually the Jin Mao Tower. It's the tallest building in Shanghai (maybe in China too). It's the next building to the left of the "Aurora Tower".

The Jin Mao tower is home to the world's highest bar which is one the top floor.
