greg-sensei-japan > The great thing about living in the countryside is the kindness of the locals. I bumped into the football team captain, Komura-san (thumbs-up), and a work friend of his invited me back to his home in the hills over Shikamachi for drinks and dinner with his family.

greg-sensei-japan > Yoshii, the school PE teacher, gets a bit carried away at one of the school parties.

greg-sensei-japan > Most of the school bashes start off fairly civilised; a sit down meal followed by speeches. Once that's finished the female teachers go home and all the men hit the 'snack bars' in Sasebo city!

Snack bars mean snack bar girls; a similar set-up to the geisha in Kyoto city. Women entertain you with polite conversation and you buy them drinks. Make sense? No, didn't think so.

Still, all good fun.
